b. Library 2.0, Web 2.0 and social Networking Technologies
3. Community Information Systems and Services
4. Public Library Services for the Disadvantaged
5. Collaboration with Academic and Special libraries and other local organizations
6. Implication of the recommendations of the knolwedge commission on public library services.
Call for pepers:
Library and Information Science professionals who are working in public, school, college, university, government and special libraries are invited to contribute papers for presentation at the conference on the above mentioned themes and sub-themes.
The papers must be types in MS-Word with 1.5 line space and should not exceed 8 pages. The paper should contain the name of authors, designation, title of the article, abstract, mailing address with telephone number and e-mail address. Authors can submit a soft copy of their papers by email : 39aplaconf@....
The papers can also be sent along with the registration fee of Rs. 600/( Retired librarians and students of LIS get a 25% discount on the registration fee) by cheque/DD drawn in favour of “The Organising Secretary, 39th APLA Conference” to the following Address:

The registration fee covers the conference kit, proceedings, breakfast, lunch, tea/coffee and dinner.
The registration fee does not cover charges for Accommodation.
Accommodation:
The organisers have made arrangement for a few rooms in the nearby guest houses and hotels. Accommodation is available on payment on first-cum-first-served basis. Participants who require hostel/hotel accommodation should apply in advance indicating the number of persons and days of stay.
